Life Changing Weight Loss in 4 Months

When I began my weight loss journey at Get In Shape for Women, I was feeling pretty hopeless about ever looking good again. My weight had been slowly creeping up in my late 30’s, and despite several attempts at different exercise programs I just couldn’t seem to lose my newly acquired weight. Well-meaning friends and family told me that getting heavier was just a consequence of age and that there was nothing I could do about it. I was tired and more importantly I looked and felt terrible.
After receiving several postcards for Get In Shape for Women, I decided to attend one of their open houses. The ladies who were already taking part in the program were so upbeat, and their before and after photos were amazing. I thought: “if they can do it maybe I can too!” I lost 3 pounds my very first week and I haven’t looked back since.
I have learned so much about what my body is capable of and that nutrition–a key component I was missing in previous attempts to lose weight–is probably THE most important element in my success. I have lost 45 pounds in 4 months and I’m so happy with the way I look but most importantly with the confidence I’ve regained. I now have the tools to be healthy and fit the rest of my life and am confident I can lose the next 15-20 pounds and achieve my goal weight.

I have gone from dreading working out to absolutely loving it.

I'm not even sure how to thank the trainers at Get In Shape For Women for all that they have done for me. I honestly feel like a different person in that I am so much stronger than I was when I walked through the door less than four months ago. It had been a long time since I had really committed to a scheduled routine and Get In Shape provided exactly what I needed. Prior to signing up I would work out haphazardly. Often I would make excuses, find a reason not to go work out. Something as simple as not finding a parking spot when I was running late for a fitness class would somehow land me in Starbucks having a coffee. Before, it was just too easy not to go.
The trainers are so kind and inspiring. They really make me want to work hard and yet everything about the place is easy. You pull right up, hop out and go. It's incredibly efficient. A half an hour of weight training followed by a half an hour of cardio and you're out the door feeling great. I have my set appointments three times each week and I no longer make excuses. I have gone from dreading working out to absolutely loving it. I'm still not sure how they managed to take someone like me and give me so much inspiration but all I know is it's the very best thing I've done in a long, long time. Get In Shape For Women was a wise choice for me. Before I started my muscles were weak and my balance was poor. I needed a supervised training program so I would not injure myself in my efforts. The trainers' watchful eyes adjusted my program so I was gradually challenged and my progress has been very positive. This training restored my muscles and strength and as a bonus I also look more youthful and my clothes fit better. It is working for me and I enjoy going there.
